Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil: A vegetable oil derived from the castor oil plant that serves as a natural moisturizer. ​

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride -- Fatty acids and oils extracted from coconut, soybean, or palm. They not only moisturize, but also help resist moisture loss. 
Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax: A vegetable wax derived from the Candelilla shrub that stabilizes and adds texture to the lipstick. It also adds a protective barrier and helps retain moisture. 

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: A natural oil derived from the seeds of the desert shrub Simmondsia Chinensis. It provides hydration and moisture, and helps calm dry skin conditions, including chapping. 

Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax: A vegetable wax extracted from the leaves of Copernicia Cerifera, a brazilian palm tree. It’s known for its high melting point, hardness, and glossiness. It stabilizes, and provides texture and structures to formulas. It also has emollient characteristics, and prevents products from feeling sticky. 

Ozokerite: A naturally occurring wax derived from minerals on the earth’s surface that provides strength and stability.

Ceresin: A wax derived from purifying Ozokerite that is used as a thickening agent, and helps keep a product nice and solid.

Tocopheryl Acetate: A form of vitamin C with significant antioxidant properties that helps extend the shelf life and stability of products.

Colorants: Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77499), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 33 Lake (CI 17200)

We use a combination of mineral and synthetic colorants. Why? Plant based dyes or pigments can sometimes require strong preservatives to stop the growth of mold, yeast, and bacteria.

Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate: An oil-like, water-resistant liquid that acts as an emollient to protect the skin against moisture loss. 

Ozokerite: A naturally occurring wax derived from minerals on the earth’s surface that provides strength and stability.

Octyldodecanol: An odorless, fatty acid that is derived from vegetable fats and oils. It is an emollient that hydrates the skin, forming a protective layer that reduces water loss.

Trimethylolpropane Triisostearate: An emollient derived from fatty acids that prevents moisture loss and makes for a smooth and creamy lipstick texture. It also holds water-resistant properties, extending the wear of a lipstick.

Triethylhexanoin: An oil-like emollient that keeps the lips hydrated by preventing moisture loss. It creates the silky smooth feel of the lipstick.
